Candy AI is the name everyone’s heard of, and for good reason: the photoreal girls look better than anyone else’s, and the chat is polished. On the yearly plan it’s also tied for the cheapest subscription here, at $3.99 a month. The problem is the 100 tokens a month that come with it, which disappear quickly once you start asking for pictures.
What it is
An AI girlfriend app with chat, images, voice, video and a “Live Action” mode. You choose from a large roster of pre-made characters across realistic and anime styles, or build one yourself in a step-by-step creator: body, face, outfit, personality. Text chat is unlimited on Premium. Everything visual or audible costs tokens.
One plan, three ways to pay
Every Premium plan includes the same things: create your own characters, 18+ images, 18+ video, Live Action, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month. The only difference between the plans is how much you pay up front. That makes the 12-month plan an easy call if you’re going to stay longer than three months.
How far 100 tokens go
This is where the headline price and the real cost part ways. Candy doesn’t publish a full price list for tokens. The figure it does publish is 5 tokens a minute for Live Action roulette. Third-party write-ups consistently put a picture at about 4 tokens and a voice call at about 3 tokens a minute.
On those numbers, 100 tokens is roughly 25 pictures a month, or half an hour of calls. That’s better than fuckd.ai’s 16 pictures on its monthly plan, and miles behind OurDream’s ~200. Top-up packs start around $9.99 for 100 tokens, and people who make a lot of images report monthly bills of $25–$60 once those are included.
The catch
- The token allowance is the real price. $3.99 is the entry fee, not the bill, if you like pictures.
- Free is barely there. A few messages, then the paywall.
- Statement name. It bills as “EverAI”. That’s discreet if you want it to be, and confusing if you forget.
Should you pick it?
If looks matter most and you mostly chat, with a picture now and then, Candy’s yearly plan is excellent value and the characters are the best-looking here. If you know you’ll be generating constantly, OurDream’s allowance or fuckd.ai’s video pricing will cost you less over a year.
