Promptchan review

Promptchan is a generator that happens to have a girlfriend chat attached, not the other way round. If you want to decide exactly what the picture looks like (the pose, the style, the lighting, the outfit), it gives you more control than anything else here. If you want a girlfriend who texts you back well, look higher up the list.

What it is

You write a prompt, pick a style (realistic, anime, illustration and so on) and a pose, and generate. “Tweak” lets you change one detail without starting again. “Clone” copies the exact settings of any public creation in the community gallery, which is the fastest way to learn how to get good results. On Pro, any image can become a video, with sound, and Extend keeps a clip going.

The free tier is genuinely useful

You get free Gems every day, no card, and you can make real images with them. For someone who wants to find out whether AI porn images do anything for them before spending a cent, this is the best place to start.

The plans: what actually matters

Two things jump out. First, video, voice calls and custom characters all need Pro, so if any of those is why you’re here, the real price is $33.99, the highest entry price in this list. Second, Promptchan doesn’t publish how many Gems a single image costs. That makes it hard to compare allowances like-for-like with Candy’s tokens or OurDream’s coins.

The catch

• Pro or nothing for video. There’s no cheap way to try it.
• Chat is an extra. It works, but it’s not why anyone subscribes.
• Opaque Gem costs. You find out what things cost by spending.

Should you pick it?

If you think of yourself as making porn rather than chatting with someone, start on the free tier here and only upgrade when you hit the limits. If video is a must, compare $33.99 for Promptchan Pro against fuckd.ai’s $12.99 monthly plan before you commit.
